Leverage is key. Without it, everything is just too hard :) Little creative ideas like this go a long way!

Our blog archives are full of some great content we can take and repurpose. We can repurpose it into all of those things you mention above. Some will say the lifespan of a blog post is 90 days. I disagree. I think it is 30. Why not dig the gold out of our archives and repurpose it. We can use it to get our readers to dig deeper and we can use it to keep our readers on our own blogs longer.

A blog being an island is a great analogy, and something I need to work on. Thanks again, David.

I just published two graphics to depict the process of repurposing content. I'd love your thoughts on them.

Takes practice to cover all those bases.

I can "see" what you recommend.

"Feeling it" and making it happen are a big hump to get over. I'm sure with practice it will become very easy.

And I've discovered I don't much care for how my microphone is sounding at the moment. Very gravelly.

Just takes a lot of work no way around it. But at least there's no secrets. You do the work or you don't

I haven't ever really looked into the articles - thanks for prompting me to add that to my research and implement list! :-)

David, Great Post.. gave me some new ideas.

Also found this site while back called Article Video Robot.. it takes your articles and makes them videos so now you can broadcast them out again..

Great advice once again. I guess for me it's a case of getting organised. Set up the processes that need to be followed and make them into a standard routine. You can probably tell I'm a Process Analyst by trade.

I have been struggling with my blog in regard to these issues. This list is very timely. Thank you, David.

I am still a noob with article (directory) submission... Do I need to submit unique articles per directory or can I submit the exact write-ups in my blog? I heard ezine does not accept duplicate contents.

You definitely want to be everywhere to develop a presence in the blogosphere. You need to be out commenting on other blogs, posting on forums, on Facebook and Twitter, but the one thing that you should know is to make sure that you are building a relationship when doing these different things

I really don't want to swallow this concept before but after I have started putting in the work, I started to see the difference and the benefits of doing it.

In every industry, Leveraging is always a big asset. When it comes to blogging "Time is Money" so we instead need to focus on more important task then leverage the other

This one is self explanatory for everything -

    "you need bridges."

If you will be able to build bridges from everywhere to your blogs than you will get maximum traffic as well.

    David,

I was submitting to article directories for a while, but I found that it was taking time away from my blog postings so I stopped. I really like the suggestion to shorten a blog post and then submit that to an article directory. I have not started doing audio or video yet, but I love the ideas you presented on how to repurpose your work.

    Thanks for the tips.

    Brad

WOW! There are so many avenues in which to take ones blog content. I never thought to repurpose post in such a way. But as I read your post it made perfect sense. Thanks :)
