Hi David...
I just want to compliment you on your Blog... (huh, whats new!) Honestly, as a complete newbie... and wannabie blogger (banditasblog.blogspot.com) I just admire your honest, frank,simple and clean delivery on your blog.
You express and explain every topic so well, and give inside opinions and views that a person who is new or interested in starting in this venue can understand just what they are wanting to get involved with.
You take the hype out of the business, and bring us back to the nuts and bolts of what it is all about.

The reason most bloggers don't go the direct sales route is the same reason that most don't succeed generally: it takes hard work. And planning. And creativity. Most bloggers, strangely, would rather try and run faster on the treadmill than take the time and effort to plan and create their own product.

That said, while banner ads are a mug's game, there are still a ton of opportunities in affiliate marketing.

I am glad to hear it, and I was only kidding around with you. I live in
Arizona so it's not a real stretch to come to Vegas but I was not sure
about just what kind of folks would be there. It seems like when I go to
one of these things, just as I meet someone interesting and start to have a
good conversation, they get distracted by someone else and off they go. You
only have so much time so you need to get around and network but it sure
would be nice to sit down with a cup of coffee and have a real chat.

PS. I am starting a blog alliance and would appreciate you taking a look at

the concept with me as moderator, and would love to have you join us. No
cost, I just come to your site, copy and paste the title of any articles I
think beneficial (simple) for the new blogger and I intro them with my
views on the subject post, then link back to the post on your site within
the text of my post. Would appreciate your comments or any suggestions.

No, the Blogworld audience is pretty varied. Some advanced people, but a lot of newbies as well. Takes a certain level of dedication to get in a plane and come here, though, so these are good people. :-)

Hey David , that doesnt look like the presidential suite! Ha, but thanks for the video, makes us think you are the common man, one of US. Learn a bunch and post like a madman when you get home. And it would be cool if you could post about what type of blogger gains by coming to blogWorld, I get a sense that the tekkies dominate the marketers in terms of attendance.
